Group therapy provides a unique opportunity for people to work with their issues in a safe and proven manner. This happens through providing a fully confidential place to interact freely with others, allowing them to identify, understand and examine these interactions. The confidentiality of the group allows for the kind of feedback that is extremely rare to have with our friends and partners. Group participants can learn how they are received by others, and in many cases, how different this is from their perception of what they expected. The underlying personal dynamics can then be brought to light, and new ways of interacting with others can then be practiced – in the safety and confidentiality of the group.
It has been proven over the decades to be one of the most effective opportunities to make real change in how one is received and felt by others. Many have found it to be one of the most transformative experiences in their life, and are able to make permanent changes to their ability to have satisfying, emotionally intimate relationships with those they love.
